Stop Motion Animation Project (Including Support)

Stop Motion Animation Project (Including Support)

This project based learning pack has been designed as a standalone, ‘off the shelf’ project to support teachers and help pupils understand the process of stop motion animation.

Gaia deploys its expertise  within its Studio Services team to work alongside teachers and students and weave the use of educational ICT into real teaching and learning. This allows students and teachers to work together with real programmers, digital artists and video technicians.

This project includes:

  • documentation
  • lesson planning adapted to your needs
  • 4 days onsite or remote support.

Additional support for larger projects can be purchased separately.

Product Description

We have broken the project down into 7 manageable steps. Some can be combined into a single lesson, while others can be spread over several lessons if required. You can pick and choose which steps to include, or follow the plan as we have laid it out.

Step1 - Introduction to the subject

Step 2 - Story and script writing

Step 3 - Story boarding

Step 4 - Set design

Step 5 - Filming

Step 6 - Editing

Step 7 - Presentation, reflection and evaluation

Each of the steps contains:

  • Starter Questions – suggested questions to help prompt pupils and introduce new ideas or concepts
